I honestly wish this senryu haiku did not need to be written. This gum ball leaves a bitter sour taste in my mouth

Great senryu haiku! As a former educator, the topic of your poem especially hits home. How history can be 'whitewashed' or, in some instances, just removed all together, is beyond me! Here, in Texas, they have taken similar unconscionable actions to do the same! As unbelievable as their actions are, they still seem to get away with it!
