“Let the wildflowers say something first.” ~ Joe Nichols
On this Memorial Day I am sharing Joe’s Substack offering. I do not have enough words to convey my reason to include him as a guest contributor.
My hope is that you will understand after reading his post. A definite “drop the mic” read in my opinion.
My family understands great loss…

“If you brought flowers, don’t arrange them. Let them fall how they fall. The wind knows where to place things." ~ Joe Nichols
till next week - Marjorie, and yes I still wear Alyssa’s dress
Thank you for sharing, this. And not for simply sharing my words, but for sharing the ways in which we remember friends, brothers, that are no longer here. Memorial Day is not the easiest day for us all. As a child it was a history lesson, men who'd died before I was born. Now, it's men that died that I knew. It's our children, our sons again. It's my generation and now again the generation after. I hope that one day Memorial Day becomes just a memory. And not a holiday we keep adding to. That would be the best one. Thank you for sharing, and thank you for your words as well.
Thank you. Joe’s words ring so true, he shared another incredible Substack for Memorial Day. May we never forget the sacrifices made and never take Freedom for granted ♥️
