Uncle Sam / topsy- turvy / never meant to be an ice bucket / broken promises / whether-or-not man couldn’t predict the weather / tornados and hurricanes play hide and seek / experts sent home / game over / innocents swept away /

Prayers will not fix these catastrophes, we need the experts back in so many slashed jobs in all areas. More than shortsighted.
The chainsaw was never needed
My heart grieves with the families of the Texas flood victims, child loss is horrific as my husband and I know.

It is not very often Josiah, aka Luke Brannon, includes color with his drawing prompts. I could envision a dusty road with crumbled buildings near by. It gave me hope to see grass growing up through a crack.
This one came to me right away upon seeing this image. I needed to sit with it, no editing or other thoughts came to me. Finally shared this on other platforms on the 6th. Horrific times in too many places 😔 I do not understand why this is still allowed to continue.

Oof...Marjorie. You hit on so many feelings, questions, whys. All necessary to have for this time we are witnessing. It is all so hard to wrap our heads around. Chainsaws...do incredible damage; better choices could have made so many things different. Hugs to you, my friend, as you understand, so fully, a parent's loss.

So many tragedies as we know Majorie…including each of those children leaving such devastating grief as the parents begin their excruciating journey of loss. And the arrogance of those who turn their back on the expert knowledge which could have saved so many lives. As ever, your creative response feels important and necessary.
