twist of fate - she braids her hair
unchosen destiny
an unexpected rainbow
back to the stars
a black hole turn inside out
the cosmic dust vortex
shimmers on the edge of the void
the beginning-beginning begins
stars buds cluster
tectonic foundations shift
time and place come together
then separate into existence
thrown into the fray - she questions the journey
quest at hand
return the pearl to the mermaid sword
no going back
tears dripping down - tears dripping up
becoming Mayon and trying to make sense of it all

Poetry and Art is how I make sense of the unimaginable
Part of me is always out in the cosmos with my StarChild, Alyssa. We have had countless adventures out riding comets. Little by little it is getting easier to share our stories. She was re-birthed back to the stars in 2013. Science fiction poetry writing is one way I deal with grief.
Finding and creating glimmers of joy in the every day moments is important no matter what you are going through.
till next week - Marjorie
Thank you for your beautiful poetry, Marjorie. Alyssa has ALWAYS been here and will ALWAYS be here, as will we all. We are bubbles in the cosmic soup, appearing visibly at different moments but very much on the same journey, with an infinite past and infinite future.
There's a wonderful children's book called I've Loved You Since Forever by Hoda Kotb. It beautifully conveys this theme, how the writer and the reader (or the parent and the child, or the lovers, or the friends, or ANY two such bubbles!) have loved each other since forever. I tear up a bit whenever I read it to the kids.
