bearded warrior calling it a night

This beetle caught my eye, especially when I changed my vantage point and noticed the shadow. Zoom out and you might see what I do.
Of course I had to take a number of photographs to get this one.
Thinking further why I saw what I did in this image taken on 8.18.24
- I needed to become a warrior and badass superhero for myself over a decade due to my daughter, Alyssa’s earthly departure.
This image easily could inspire the look of an entity in my graphic novel… time will tell. It is about our continued cosmic adventures.

You never know what will spark creativity - stay open to what comes before you. Document it in notes, sketches, or photos.
My days can get so slammed, they try to take me away from writing daily. That is when I give myself grace.
Some of my favorite mirco-poems, haiku, or monoku happen at the 11th hour due to this practice. I am drawn to Japanese short form poetry - the pieces are short, sweet, and to the point just like my girl.

Whew!!! This one came to me at 11:55 while enjoying a bonfire with out-of-town friends. Felt good to make my deadline.
Burn bright my friends

Very cool bearded warrior. I see it!! It would be so cool if it evolved into a character in your work.
And I really appreciate your remarks about how hard it can be to squeeze the writing in sometimes, and how important it is anyway. Even if you aren't writing per se, yes, take those notes and photos! Or at the very least, be present and store the jaw-dropping truth of reality into your being until it's time to pour it out onto the page again.
So happy to be your friend here in this creation space.
Affirmed.
“Short, sweet, and to the point.”
And remembrance.
