Bench of Contemplation

built for one
two or three
who shall sit with you?

under the shade of the tree
you are meant to see
with stillness of heart

listen to the river
feel the flow of renewal 
bathe yourself in sound

when ready
dip toes into the current 
allow yourself to be swept away

all tears meet the ocean
mingle those who have gone before
the Oneness is there

become the pearl diver
find the oyster of self
a priceless treasure 

begin the cycle 
crack open the shell
evaporate into a new soul

rain down
create the trickle
become the river once again

I am forever grateful to editors Anurag Sharma, Dr. Sunil Sharma and the Setu family for continued encouragement and support since August 2023. Dr. Sangeeta Sharma interviewed me last summer. This shares much more about my backstory for those new to my writings. The Creative Process helps me deal with heavy grief. Thankfully I can share that I am doing much better these days.

2013 was a devastating year when my daughter crossed over. Writing and creating art keeps me connected to Alyssa, my StarChild. May you find what helps you when life goes sideways. Everyone has different life challenges, please know you will eventually learn how to not have it consume you. Joy will find you again, even on the hard days.

The silk painting behind me is part of my WIP graphic novel hybrid project, it is a way to have continued adventures with Alyssa.
