Thank you Marjorie for your kindness in mentioning my writing. I think that you are very brave, and the true beauty is in the connections we form as writers and readers. So I will venture as far to say that as much as we may influence you, you also influence us and lift us up by sharing your truth. Thank you for sharing your writing and art with us all.

Please do- and don’t hold back…you never know what work will touch another. Some of my favorite works receive little response while others I don’t think are up to par get overwhelming response— humans needs are unpredictable…

Your elegant words 🙏☺️ helped me immensely, and a beautiful reminder about death being an illusion. It is still such a process on some days to truly embrace this. I have received many signs so I do know.

This is simple but sweet. All to be read with no problems for the language is clear and poetic. Good job!

Thank you. I write a lot of haiku so even my longer poems tend to be one page at the most.

Marjorie, this poem! THIS POEM!!!! Wow! SOAR!! Every single word gave my heart flight....and the end "my feather has become your quill/ leave no page blank". Oh my goodness what a gift you have given us here! I've read it about 10 times now and it just lifts my spirit to new heights with each read. I, too, find sacred a found feather! Your haiku, and the beautiful, most precious painting of your Alyssa with the peacock feathers....whew.... This post caressed my own wounded heart and gives inspiration to write and share more the unexposed wells of grief inside of me. You, Marjorie, are a feather found for me! What an honor to also have the mention of my writing included in such a special post. I am so humbly moved. Many, many hugs to you, friend, for all you have shared! Very special is the hope of found peace, through this process of grieving, that you've brought to us in your writing, in your silk painting, and in your photographs. Truly, truly a gift. Much love ~Wendy

I am so glad this one resonated with you. I write to help heal myself. Grief is such a weird roller coaster as you know. Our ride gets less bumpy over time. The view at the top shows us the great love surrounding us before going back down. The Creative Process gives momentum to rise back up. We help each other with our different gifts to keep going, especially on the hard days. So glad to have found you in this space. ✨🪶✨

Such a deep honor, to be highlighted in this manner Marjorie. Thank you. By the by, regarding feathers. I LOVE your philosophy of found feathers!!! The first stanza of “Soar”: “my feather has / left my wing / for you to find.” For the past few years, as I tend to the land we’ve settled upon, using organic and regenerative practices to support wildlife and all other beings with who we live here, I’ve taken to honor the bird friends in a sacred way. Whenever a feather is found on our property, I think exactly as you shared—that the feathers were gifts from the bird friends. So I pick them up and take them to a small outdoor alter I’ve created to honor their lives and to give thanks for their presence.

YOU are a gem and I’m so thankful our paths crossed in this space.
